Everyone knows that war is sad and ugly. My name is Morgan Emsley, and I would like to tell you how war has affected my family.

My Grandpa was in World War 2. When he had joined the army, he was only 17 years old. He fought for his country's freedom. He was very fortunate because he lived.

My Grandpa was a German Soldier in World War II. He was drafted to go fight in the war, he did not have a choice. He quickly became a prisoner of war in England.

My name is Chloe Nottingham and when I was given this project I asked my Great Nana if she had any stories about the war that she could share with me.

We hear about the wars these days and realize how much more we have than back when my Nana was a child.
