Youth Ambassadors of Remembrance

The Royal Canadian Legion

The Youth Ambassadors of Remembrance Program was initiated by BC/Yukon Command of The Royal Canadian Legion and is the primary financial sponsor.  BC/Yukon Command is committed to profiling young Canadians who take a leadership role in planning inspired commemorative activities or Acts of Remembrance.  Recognizing these creative and socially responsible young people and providing them with tailored educational material, will further their interests in Canada’s military history and the significance of duty, service and sacrifice.

Canada Remembers Program

Veterans Affairs Canada through a Canada Remembers Partnership Contribution, is a proud sponsor of BC/Yukon Command’s Youth Ambassador of Remembrance Program.  The Canada Remembers Program endeavours to keep alive the achievements and sacrifices made by those who served Canada in times of war and peace; to engage communities in Remembrance of these achievements and sacrifices; and to promote an understanding of their significance in Canadian life as we know it today.
British Columbia
Automobile Association (BCAA)

BCAA is a proud sponsor of BC/Yukon Command’s Youth Remembrance Video Contest and is happy to reward selected individuals with BCAA Youth Memberships. The contest winners who are drivers and students 21 years of age or younger, will be awarded a one year free BCAA Student membership.  This membership allows for four Emergency Service calls per year and additional benefits such as locksmith service, battery boost, and Show Your Card and Save Benefits. These winners will also receive a Student Price Card and five free music downloads from Universal Music. The contest winners who are not drivers and 21 years of age or younger, will be awarded one year free BCAA Junior Membership. This membership allows for one Emergency Service call per year and access to Show Your Card and Save Benefits and a Student Price Card.

Creativeway Services
Creativeway Services conceptualizes and produces a diverse range of media, artistic, theatrical and educational programs, largely tailored to connecting youth with Veterans and Current Serving Members of the Canadian Forces.  Accurate historic content relative to British Columbia and the Yukon are incorporated into all programs, thereby enshrining history, heritage and heroes. Creativeway Services has recently produced a series of public service announcements referred to as, The Legion’s Legacies Moments which have received wide televised broadcast. Creativeway Services contributes many pro bono hours supporting Veteran and Legion initiatives.

 

Media FX Group
Media FX Group produces dynamic media for events, digital signage and rich media websites.  Creative services are used in film, museums, trade shows, product launches, Canadian Pavilions and AGM’s.  Media FX in partnership with Creativeway Services designed the websites for BC/Yukon Command, Legion’s Legacies and inclusion of the Youth Ambassadors of Remembrance.  Media FX Group contributes many pro bono hours supporting Veteran and Legion initiatives.
